In lieu of seeing Kevin Smith next month, I watched Chasing Amy for the first time, probably in three years. I've been wanting to for awhile but just never had the time. So this weekend I was alone for once and popped it in. To this day, it still holds the same for me as it did 8 years ago. The jokes are funnier because I'm older and probably didn't understand things like rug muncher. My life has changed drastically whether it's relationships, my interests, tastes, friends, everything and I find it hard enjoy the same things I did so long ago. But Chasing Amy still remains near and dear to me. If I'd seen it for the first time this year, I still would have loved it as I did 8 years ago.

I'm really sad they didn't have a 10th anniversary reunion for Chasing Amy. It was the one I was most looking forward to. And I just realized that's the question I'd ask Smith if I got the chance.
